Manufacturing of Biocomposites for Domestic Applications Using Bio-Based Filler Materials

Filler materials are considered added value (volume) to composite materials. The addition of filler leads altering the material characteristics. Nowadays, there has been a notable increase in bio-based polymers and polymer composites. In this regard, agricultural wastes (low-cost renewable substrates) used as content prepare bioplastic composites, they available plenty quantity economical price. Bioplastics samples compounded by adding different amounts eggshell powder walnut shell weight proportion plasticized PLA. plasticization is realized with 5 wt.% Epoxidized Soybean Oil. prepared granules further processed injection molding dog bone-shaped subjected mechanical, thermal, optical microscopy tests. Mechanical tests such Tensile, Charpy Impact, Flexural yielded decreased properties compared virgin However, PLA–ES showed better results than PLA–WS composite.
